Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel 202 East Pratt Street Baltimore, MD 21202
(location maps are at the bottom of this page!)
If you’re bringing in large equipment (rhythm, percussion, contrabasses, tuba, choir risers, etc) 8:30 am is load in. Regular call time is 10 am.
I NEED EVERYONE THERE, IN THEIR SEAT, WITH ALL OF YOUR THINGS AT 10 AM! That is when Balticon needs to do sound and video checks. We may also have to reposition things on the fly, so it's very important that we are all there. This isn't "our" concert, we are "their" guests, so keep in mind we do need to follow their schedule.
Our performance is at 1 PM.
For bringing equipment into the convention:
Large instruments (contrabasses, cello, tuba), ALL percussion and ALL electronics MUST use the loading dock under the hotel to get these things to the 5th floor where we are performing. There will be an obvious place to go. There will be people to direct you. I'll probably try and make a sign or five. DO NOT take large instruments through the main elevators, there aren't a whole lot of elevators and we can't be clogging them up with people and instruments. If you are uncertain, bring your instrument to the loading dock! We will have places to put cases that you will be able to access when you get to the 5th floor. Yes, you can loading dock your instrument, no matter how small, and then go park your car. In fact, I RECOMMEND THIS. We cannot park in the loading dock so arrive early, off load your stuff, go find parking.
You will need to get your badge either before the morning of the performance OR the morning of the performance before 10 am. Registration is right outside of the ballroom we are performing in on the same floor. We are on the 5th floor if you are coming in through the main elevators (only if you have small instruments please!). If you're coming in from the loading dock with large equipment (or you just want to come in that way), we'll point the way when you get there! :)
I have sent out all of the parking codes to the people that have vehicles they told me they are bringing. The special code for SUNDAY ONLY gives us free parking THAT DAY. All other days, use the regular Balticon code for discounted parking: BALTICON25
Yep. So if you think you might have trouble navigating traffic OR public transit due to all of the other events happening Memorial Day Weekend (who knew, right?) LEAVE EARLIER THAN YOU THINK YOU NEED TO. You can absolutely get to Balticon as early as you need to. Get your badge, visit the dealer's room, if you like, come find me making sure setup and load in is happening. :D
Concert black please! Just like BGSO concerts, we want to look uniform. Our Dress Code for concerts is clearly stated in our Code of Conduct

Yes! Anyone that wants to see the Balticon performance needs a membership to Balticon. They DO give discounted memberships to friends and family attending with you!
The best way is for them to purchase discounted memberships at the door. The discount is $30 off any membership ($15 for Young Adults), so $59 for the Full Weekend, $15 for Sunday Only, etc. (and half that for Young Adults). This does mean you have to be accompanying the guest with your badge proving your status
If you prefer to purchase online, use coupon code BGSO-Guest. This is basically the absolute best discount available online, so please don't share the code outside the people on your list.

Honestly, it depends on whom or what is licking it, like if it’s a dog probably less? Very small bat, probably so many?
I apparently have to exclude my own cats, so the verdict is Chloe, Jax’s calico whom I will probably never be allowed to pet but is SO PRETTY :D
African or European?
Eevee for both because it can evolve into cooler Pokemon like Glaceon! :D
